The SLF1800 is a half-body panel: the full 42cm width of the RLF3000 at 91cm tall. In one position it covers the torso, the back, or a full leg; standing sessions are done front then back, in two halves. It carries the same seven-wavelength engine and control set as the larger SLF3000 and SLF6000, and at 12kg it hangs on a door hook or sits on a stand in a spare room rather than needing a treatment suite.
Measured output (independent laboratory)
The Dermfix SLF1800 delivers 83.3 mW/cm² at 15 cm, measured by an independent laboratory.
Measured in November 2026 by LightingLab Calibration Laboratory Ltd. in Veszprém, Hungary, an independent ISO/IEC 17025-accredited calibration laboratory, using a calibrated spectroradiometer.
| Distance from panel | Irradiance |
|---|---|
| 15 cm | 83.3 mW/cm² |
| 30 cm | 73.8 mW/cm² |
Step back from 15 cm to 30 cm and the SLF1800 keeps 89% of its output. That's no accident. Its 30° lenses focus the light forward instead of spraying it sideways, so the intensity holds as you move back. In practice, that means you can sit at a relaxed, comfortable distance, cover far more of your body in one session, and still get almost 90% of the dose. We think that matters far more than any single headline number.
How it was measured: total irradiance (200–1100 nm), all seven wavelengths on at 100%, at the centre of the panel, distance taken from the front surface, at switch-on with no warm-up period.
Wavelengths
Seven wavelengths across 360 dual-chip LEDs, each independently dimmable from 0 to 100%:
| 460–480nm | Blue, visible. Surface absorption. |
| 630nm | Red, visible. Absorbed in the epidermis and upper dermis. |
| 660nm | Red, visible. Slightly deeper than 630nm. |
| 810nm | Near-infrared, not visible. Penetrates beyond the dermis. |
| 830nm | Near-infrared, not visible. |
| 850nm | Near-infrared, not visible. The most widely studied NIR wavelength. |
| 1060nm | Near-infrared, not visible. Longest wavelength in the range. |
Wavelengths can be run singly or in combination. Most users work with red and near-infrared together; the blue channel is separate and is not required for a standard session.
Controls
The SLF1800 runs a new operating system and remote control designed by Dermfix. A touchscreen on the panel and the handheld remote give the same functions. Dimming runs 0–100% on each wavelength. Near-infrared pulsing is adjustable from 0 to 9999Hz. The timer runs 1–30 minutes and shuts the panel off at the end of the session.
Six preset programmes (Post-workout, Anti-aging, Joint Pain, Skin, Wake-up, Warm-up) and two user-defined setups can be started with one press on the remote — no menus to navigate for a routine session.
The touchscreen runs in fourteen languages. Because Europe isn't somewhere we ship to — it's where we live and work.
The LEDs are flicker-free, which matters if the panel is used in the same room as a camera or by anyone sensitive to light modulation.
Why no phone app?
A phone app would actually have been the cheaper option for us. We tested both, and for everyday use a dedicated handheld remote is simply easier: pick it up and go. It also means anyone in your household can use the panel, even if they don't have a smartphone.
